Hi Pete, what did you have to do exactly, coz i am lost with this?
i have found the amp and disconnected it, but how did you sort out wiring? i have found the wires for the speakers but only12? my car has six major speakers plus two tweeters, my stereo also had on dash display, now the connector in the boot just does not have enough speaker wires
Many thanx

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / aftermarket Stereo
« on: 06 January 2008, 11:59:00 »
Hi everyone, I am new here,

My question is,, I have just fitted an aftermarket dvd player for my omega elite, which is a 1996 and had  the Philips sc804 sound system.

After fitting stereo it fired up just fine but there is no sound?
I tried my daughters dvd and it did the same thing fires up but no sound.
I know my system does work as it is ok in my daughters corsa.

So is there an amplifier fitted or wiring thing i will need to fix on this,
Or do i need a special lead. my old system did not have steering wheel controls.
Please help because this old man still like to listen too and misses Satriani whilst driving.
thanx again an no doubt i will need further advice for other things :y :y :y :y
