I SORNed my 2.6 MR6 about a year ago on a friend's drive way. i want to sell it but after the battery went flat I don't have a clue what to do to sort the immobiliser.
I try to start the car and the alarm goes off.
What do I do?

yes the sounder used to give 4 beeps when i switched the engine off (not always). perhaps that is a low battery indicator. There is a thread on here somewhere for replacing the batteries. Does anyone have a link?

Omega General Help / Alarm keeps sounding following flat battery

I had SORNed my MV6 2.6 on a friend's drive, having bought another car.
I thought it was about time to sell the beast so i went over to get her started. When i zapped the key fob the alarm sounded.
Thinking it was a flat battery, i recharged. Now, however, every time i zap the key fob the alarm sounds!!!!
Can anyone tell me what's happened and what i should do to correct it? I'd like to sell the car but might struggle like this. Other than this she is in very good nick.

The Boy Yes it has a CCR2006 stereo, what do they normally have? I have had an offer from Taxi Driver on his "cheapo" (his words not mine) tech2 equivalent. As he's local, I will ask for his assistance first.

Hello
The ECU light has been lit for ages - car runs fine. My local garage has a very old looking diagnostic system on a very old Dell laptop and it finds nothing wrong.
Anybody got any suggestions other than paying the local Vauxhall main dealer an inordinate amount of moolah for them to tell me i need a total engine transplant or at least a new ECU.
