Sounds like you've just bought a standard bleed valve - a chip will be considerably better in terms of performance/economy improvement.

The bleed valve might give more boost - but without the fuelling changed to suit you might not get much more mid-range.  You stand more chance of getting a fault code than more power...
dear sir, what gives you the impression  that i have bought a bleed valve!

Can't remember the charge (seeing as I've yet to pay him  :-[).  You'll need to remove ECU and provide the part number last 3 digits.  Some are socketed, but certainly 428 needs a socket soldered in first.
my  chips are socketed so simple to do!

Gonna have to try this chip one day on my Omega 2.5TD Manual, As Ive said before my old banger BM 325TDSE really does go like Hell and is a lot better on MPG, I know the Meggy is a heavy bus, but the difference in performance between these two cars in incredible, In my mind a lot more than 30 BHP.

Chris.
hi have you ever tried putting the bm ecu into your omega?

I fitted omegatoys chip to my omega and gave it a very noticable increase in extra bhp and torque.

I hear he's moving house at the minute but drop him a PM, you won't be disapointed.

thanks i pm,d him but if he,s moving house he will be busy, what does he take for the chips ?do u remember? thanks

hi guys , ive trawled the net and not got an answer to this one yet!  why has the bmw 325 tds got substantionally more power than the omega with the same engine? i,m going to chip mine and wondered if fitting /chipping the bmw ecu would recover the missing ponies. any of u guys have chips for sale to suit this car, also the car needs a good wind to start if the tank is below 1/4 otherwise runs ok.any help gratefully recieved.

thanks for all the replies guys :) thankfully my omega is manual so it should take the strain.
