Yes, I think its the power sounder (theres a sticker referring to it under the bonnet, right?). Its definately not the horn alarm as I've heard that before. This one is almost ultrasonic and makes you feel like your skull is going to shatter when you've got your head under the bonnet! Where is it located? Earplugs on standby...!

Yep, tried that - no joy! The engine even starts but the alarm keeps going off.

Hi All. I've got 2.2 facelift model and have just disconnected the battery to fit a new one and the alarm keeps sounding everytime I try to re-connect the leads. And I CANNOT get it to shut up! I've tried locking/unlocking the doors, turning ignition on etc. Any ideas before I go completely deaf?!

Please excuse my ignorance but what does ATF mean? Is it serious? I've been driving it for about 2 weeks like this so now you've got me worried!

Omega General Help / 2.2 auto gear change problem
« on: 28 January 2008, 21:41:42 »
Hi all, hope someone can help! I have a 2.2 Auto on a 'Y' plate which has recently developed an intermittent problem when changing gear. Now and again it won't change from 2nd to 3rd. The only way I can 'force' it to is by getting it up to 4,000 revs or by suddenly taking my foot off the accelerator and it will then change after a second or so. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
