2.5 TD ECU Fault Code
«
on:
15 March 2008, 20:55:12 »
I tried the paper clip test on my Omega today and had the following fault code:
64 FUEL QUALITY CONTROL OUT OF RANGE
The Engine Management Light also lights up very briefly when changing gear at low revs, and when I lift off after driving at a steady speed.
Are the ECU fault code and the engine management light issue related?
Any information will be greatly appreciated.
The car is a 96 2.5 TD Manual

Thanks for the help.
Who do I need to contact regarding a "chipped" ECU for my car?
Thanks,
Tony.

I'm sorry if this has been covered in the past.
I've got a 1996 2.5TD. Can anyone tell me where the ECU is please?
Thanks,
Tony

Thanks. I'll pop over to the motor factors, and then stop off at Boots for some K Y Jelly!

Got a similar problem on my 2.5 TD.
The heaters work fine, but the temperature guage barely moves. Only once has it gone up to a quarter - that was after waiting in a McDonalds drive-thru for over 20 minutes.
Can anyone tell me what's wrong, please?

I'm after one of the stickers, can you send me payment details please?
I would PM, but this is my first post on the forum and it won't let me use PM's yet!
Thanks!
