ill wack my muti meter on it and check the volts and let you all other blubs are fine. i checked them all cause i know you can get led ones which throws the comp of  :)

it was tested with a snap on electrial tester which either shows as power or earth but it had neither.

i had lifter problem's after the oil cooler packed up. the only way to get them out is to take the cams out.  send my lifters of to be stripped down and cleaned which cost me 70 quid better then buying a new set for well over a ton  ;D i was quoted £7.50 each one and thats trade price not good once x24

Newbie Welcome Area / hi everyone
« on: 17 February 2008, 09:40:26 »
hi just joined up. i'm from bedford and am a mechanic and just got hold of my first omega i fell in love with the lotus cartlon when i did a service on one at work(even more on the road test lol) but im only 24 so me getting hands on one of them is very unlikey.then a few months later i worked on a mv6 which from that moment i knew i wanted one, so off with golf gti. searched ebay and picked on up tax and mot'd for 180 quid not bad for a 25 v6 auto cdx fully loaded 1999 model. the owner said the head gaskets were gone but i know its rare theses fail,
so out with the oil cooler which was knacked. but engine still rattle badly after so had to take lifters out to be striped and cleaned up. once done that ran nice and quiet but had a misfire gave it full service but turn out to be coilpack all done now so theres my story look forward to talking to you all
