Omega General Help / Re: Keyfob not working...HELP!!!

I have just had my 2 feyfobs repaired and one of them is still not working. It's Red LED flashes which must mean the battery is good but it will not open/lock the car. I was told that the fob may need to be re-syncronised by putting it in the ignition and switching it on and the pressing the button about 2-3 times (which should lock/unlock the central locking). I tried this method 3 times over this morning and sadly it still does not operate as it should. Could there be any other reasons for this? All three microswitches click like new.
Try Turning ignition on but don't start the car, turn it off and remove the key and hold it near the sensor near the interior light ane press the button for a few seconds.

Omega General Help / Re: Cam belt fitting in Stoke on Trent

Help!
I took my 2.5 V6 to a local garage on friday to have a cam belt kit and water pump fitted.  Now the once smooth tickover is rough and noisy (did not notice it when I picked the car up as it was raining).  I do not trust the garage to have another go at it as I am sure they have not fitted the cam belt correctly.  Does anyone know where in Stoke on Trent I can get the job done correctly?
Check that they have reconnected the idle air valve plug, I have had this happen twice, just plug it in and it was OK.

Omega General Help / outside temperature
« on: 21 September 2006, 12:59:25 »
Hi all,
I have a 1994 Omega 2.5 V6 CDX, the outside temp tells me I could probably fry an egg on the pavment.
I have seen that on some Vauxhalls the sender is behind the front bumper, what I would like to know is, can this be reached with out taking the bumper off.
Thanks
ejr1039.
