Omega General Help / Omega pre facelift headlight internals.
« on: 16 March 2008, 12:02:46 »
Hi, I have just changed offside front headlight bulb and found reflector assembly appearing loose, ie if you hold bulb holder it is not firm. Does any one know if held by a spring or something, is the headlight easily removed?  Thanks John

I own a V6 98 Omega, only major problem was the coilpack failure and 3 way heater valve leak (daft place to fit though). The silver colour is starting to get surface rust all over which is a shame. So when I saw a CDX facelift estate for sale I jumped at it for £2000 with low miles. What a lot of car for the money, must equal Jags etc for equipment. The only problem with the newer car is the driver windscreen washer jet being blocked. On the early Omega a 2 min job as mounted on the bonnet. Now on the facelift its on the bulkhead, I cant see how to remove, anyone have experience of this problem? I bet a major access problem. ( John    PS a great site here, never knew existed.

Hi, just a warning to Omega owners, I was recently a proud owner of a V 6 which was wrecked by a foreign driver not used to traffic lights. It ran perfectly for 10 years and was written off in 2 seconds. I had spent £3000 on keep in good top conditon. Direct line offered me £800 max for a brilliant car, whats the point of fully comp ins.  John
