Just done a bit more research on the Net. Realised that I have put the Hazard Light Switch in the wrong way up!
D'oh! :-[
Well, if anyone else makes the same mistake. Thats how you fix it!

Hi Guys,
I took the original headunit out of my 2000 Omega.
I had to take off all the wood surround, this all came out fine.
Now I have put it all back when you press the Hazard Light switch the Ignition Comes On (Dash Lights Up)
The Hazard Lights do not come on though. (But they flash when car is locked/unlocked as usual)
When you press it again to switch off, the Ignition Switches off.
This happens without the key in the Ignition.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, i'm really stuck with this one!
Thanks in advance.

Hi Guys,

Haven't had a Saab for a while now. Had to get rid of the old 9-5 when the Turbo went on it

Recently aquired a Omega 2.2 turbo diesel

At Clackets Lane Services last night, it decided to pop a Rad Hose and Dumped all the water out (that problem is sorted now)
Called out the AA, on inspection he noticed one of the hoses that leads from the Thermostat Housing was leaking.

The Plastic bit the hose slides over has broken, the AA guy said it was only for the Oil Cooler and I could run the car without too much trouble if I could not afford to get a new housing for a while.

Would like to find out what that pipe is for, please could you let me know. Help is much appreciated.

Cheers

« on: 19 September 2008, 18:32:22 »
Hiya guys and girls
I have just got my new omega 2.5 v6 auto cdx which is so lovely to drive and clean...But sady i started the car after work and it sounds like a tank as it got a leak from the drives side manfold at the back off it  :(
I have tryed taking the manfold off myself but the bolts are going to snap tho so i was just asking if there anythink on the market which i can buy and use?as i have phoned a few places and they are saying to do the job around (£250ish) i have the gasket allready only a tenner lol... And one place told me if any the bolts snap it means that side off the head will need to be taken off and new bolts retapped and it will cost alot more then :'(
So if anyone could plzs help in anyway pm me or post back on here!

And if its a hydraulic clutch is it easy to bleed(the boy)??
when i brought it had been standing for about 2 months so if its a hydraulic clutch wud that make any diffrence it being left in gear all that time and the clutch to slip in anyway?its seem ok when cold tho
