Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: Drivers window stuck down
« on: 25 March 2012, 14:04:38 »
Bah. Bloody cars.

Got in it and the window worked fine. I think the drivers window switch cluster is a bit duff though as the front passenger window will go down but not up from the drivers door controls, but works fine from the local switch.

Ok, thought it might be the switch. Will go on a grand tour of the scrapyards (f/l's aren't yet common in scrappers down here) a bit later.

Cheers

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Drivers window stuck down
« on: 25 March 2012, 03:33:28 »
Got to work today, tried to close my drivers window but it seems to be dead - no movement up or down, not even from the keyfob closure. All other windows work fine from all switches, had the door card off and all plugs are secure with nothing obviously amiss.

Car is a f/l 2.5 CDX estate.

Cheers

That be who I work for  :y

We've also got another 3 RM's (an RML, RMA and open-top RM), as well as a pair of Bristol VR's and a Leyland Leopard.

I get to drive a few older machines:

RM1062 - re-engined in the early '90's with a Scania 6-Cyl engine. It's known as the beast due to both the performance and the noise!

RF202 - AEC Regal IV, now 60 years old. AEC AV590 engine, 4-speed pre-select gearbox and no power steering. Great fun to drive though, once you're rolling the lack of power steering ceases to be a problem.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: Bose Sound - on a CDX?

Mystery solved - going through all the paperwork there is a receipt for a replacement CCR-2006 fitted and coded. Still not sure what the wiring is behind the boot panels though ???

Thanks for the suggestions folks.

No Bose subwoofers but there is wiring in both sides with nothing connected to the end.

Road to bliss is the A49 from Chester through Whitchurch, Shrewsbury, Church Stretton and down in to hereford. Hardly any traffic and just lots of open and twisty bits :)

Really? Must be a different '49 to the one I know  ;D

No parcel shelf - its an estate. Where would the subwoofers be hidden in the estate?

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Bose Sound - on a CDX?
« on: 17 March 2012, 11:34:22 »
I've noticed that on start up the display unit for the head unit displays 'Bose Sound' briefly - I thought the Bose audio system was only available on Elites? Can anyone shed any light on this as even the brochures I have don't list the Bose setup as an optional extra for a CDX.

My car is an early full-facelift CDX V6, with CCR-2006 head unit.

Cheers

Bought a new glovebox lid to replace the broken one. Took less than a day of owning the car to be irritated by it being permanently open  ;D
