I have a 1999 2.0L auto but unfortunately the engine hsa died on me. I am trying to buy a replacement of someone. Is there a difference between the engine in a 2.0L auto and a 2.0L manual ?

No oil or water in the plug well - it's bone dry. I'm not getting a spark.
When I slightly disconnect all leads they will ark but lead 3 won't. I even tried to use the lead 4 which still did'nt work but it works fine on plug 4 - weird...

Hi all.
I'm only firing on 3 plugs ?? I replaced the plugs and my leads are only new - I even used a lead from another plug that I know works and no joy.
Has anyone any idea what could be wrong please?

Hi all.....
Every now and then the car gets very sluggish, smelly and it fells lke it's not firing on all plugs. When I check the plugs the one at the back of the block (nearest the windscreen) is dripping with what seems to be oil, I dry it off and away I go for another while.
Has anyone any idea what might be causing this please?

I had the very same problem and I cleaned the ICV and I have'nt had a problem since.

Hi all.
I have a 2.0L petrol automatic and it keeps cutting out on me when running idle or breaking at lights etc....
Sometimes it wont, it will drop from about 900 rpm to 500 rpm and then recover but a lot of the time it just cuts out.
Has anyone any idea what might be causing this?
