Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: Stereo removal problems
« on: 14 November 2009, 14:32:48 »
Hi again. Doesn't matter - I have just pulled it a bit too hard and the front has come off and bits have gone everywhere!!!
The good news is I can get the cd's out now.

Anyone got a stereo for sale?

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Stereo removal problems
« on: 14 November 2009, 13:52:20 »
Hi, I am trying to remove my stereo from my Omega (double din) and it will only move about 1 cm. I have put the removal pins in, but there seems to be something stopping it.
Any ideas?

Thanks for the advice Dave,  I will try it. Will the code be written on the unit or was it with the paperwork you sent back - I will have it somewhere!

Hi all, the code has gone AGAIN in my CDR2006 and this time the multi changer won't release the cartridge so my cd's are stuck in.
Can anyone recommend a replacement unti that won't break the bank?
Cheers,Kev

I am also after a towbar / electrics for my 2000 facelift MV6. PM me if you have one please.

Hi all.  sorry for the lack of response, we have had a soggy weekend camping!
I am after a double din - it was decoded about 6 months ago by DND and has gone again.

The speedo is fine - is it a case of sticking it on a tech 2 to find out if it is sensors or ECU?

Omega General Help / Help - ABS adn TC warning lights coming on
« on: 21 June 2009, 11:51:00 »
Hi, the ABS and TC orange warning lights come on after a few yards driving. Any ideas on how to fix this - is it likely to be a brake problem or something else?
Cheers, Kev

Omega General Help / Re: Strange starting problems

Problem cured - it was the battery, thanks for the help. Got it tested and was only running at half power. Changed it and away we go.

I know you are all gripped to find out what is happening! I got a jump start and took the car for a good run. This cured the problem for a few days but then the battery died again, so I am now thinking its the battery not taking a charge. Put a tester on it when it wouldn't fire up adn it didn't even show a volt, and shows 12 when its running.

Yes - all the ignition lights go off at the right time.

Will a blast on a tech 2 show what is wrong?

Hi all, hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine!
After a lengthy 'no problem' period and flying through its MOT ;D, my MV6 has decided to have some fun with me. When the car has been sat for a few hours, if I turn the key it fails to turn over and appears to have no battery life. If I then leave the ignition on for about 30 seconds and try again it fires up first time!
Anyone got any ideas what this might be?
Cheers, Kev.

The precautions being? I was hoping to be able to pull the wires, drill out the rivets, replace the regulator and attempt to put it all back together as easy as it came apart!
