Hi all. Need some advice please.
I know there are not a lot of 2.2 dti owners on here, but any advice would be greatful.
Started my engine this morning and the upper bolt holding the tensioner on, sheared.
I changed the crank pulley a month or two ago because it was causing my aux belt to sqeal like mad. The new pulley was a solid piece of metal, not like the one I took of which had a rubber part to it.(anti-vibration?)
Is this solid metal pulley a mod Vaux' did or do I have the wrong pulley? :question
The rubber part must have dampened some of the vibrations? All I can think of is the bolt has sheared because there is no anti-vib and that bolt has taken the brunt of it.
