Hi guys,
I found this transmission on facebook, the guy said its from 3.0 V6.
Can you help me with the identification?

Is this an R30 transmission? https://www.opel-infos.de/technik/getriebe/r5.html says: also on the R30 it says "R25-R28"

3.2 will bolt straight in where the 2.6 was. Manual swap.a bit more involved but I do believe there's a guide on here. Harder to find the parts now mind you.
Hi, guys
i have a 2.6 manual, and i thinking about an engine swap to a 3.2 litre. the gearbox can take that power?

Omega General Help / Vacuum to HBV
« on: 03 May 2025, 22:15:42 »
Hi guys,
i have an Omega B2 2.6 V6 elegance, with some issue. So, when i bought a car in 2023 i asked my mechanic to replace the cooler matrix, he did it, everyone is happy. The AC was bad (no gas), so when the temperature is rised around 30°c it was awful to drive long trips because of the heat. But then i noticed something: the whole dashboard is getting hot, and its radiating the heat into the air, and there is a gap next to the accelerator pedal where hot air blowing to my feet. So then, i asked about it, in the hungarian forums and some people told me, maybe my mechanic forget to put some gasket in place, so the heat of the heater matrix can leak into the cabin. Now the AC is ok, its blowing cool air from the vents, but the heat is still the problem.
I read about the HBV what is control the hot coolant to go to the heater matrix or not. If i understand, the coolant always going into the heater matrix, only not, if the ac not in eco mode, and the temp is set to low. Then the climate control opens some vacuum valve and the HBV close, and there is no more coolant flow to the matrix. IN THEORY...
I changed the HBV... I dont know much about vacuum systems. Where can i "steal" some vacuum to shut the HBV?I find this picture about Y26SE vacuum system

but i dont sure where can i cut the line, put a T in it, and test the HBV, and this theory of mine... (sry for bad english solutions  :D )

Omega General Help / Which oil for V6?
« on: 24 February 2025, 13:36:46 »
Hi guys,

when i dont use the car for 1 or 2 days when i start it, i hear some lifter clicking for around 1 sec, and the lifters go silent.
I always used 10w40 semi-synthetic mobil1 oil. The hungarian omega group said, 5w30 is better for it, maybe prevents clicking too. Should i change?

That is a lovely example. 8) 8) :y

I cannot remember when I last saw a white one on the roads around us.  That would make a great wedding day car! ;D ;)

yeah it was some sort of undercover car for hungarian homeland security. so i think this is why its white. in hungary there are no more white fl cars what i know.
