Yes, if I let it be for a few minutes I get a brief hit of warm air then it's back to freezing.  The gauge isn't all over, rather, it raises a few increments when I let it idle for a while.  Once I start driving again it dips back down right near the "C".

The temp. is reading drops from less than half down to around 2 increments above freezing. (if that makes any sense).

Hello everyone, hope you are warm.  I have a 98 catera and it has had a coolant leak for about 3 months now.  I recently took a long distance trip and nearly froze to death; the temp. gauge droped to 1 incriment before "C".  I had zero heat in the car the entire ride but 2 days later I started it up and noticed that there was heat coming from the passenger side but not the driver's side.  Has anyone else experienced this (heat on one side and not the other), is it an electrical problem or is it because the coolant isn't circulating properly?  Please help because I'm freezing to death in this thing!!

Hey everyone, I was just wondering if there was a kit for the vacuum system on the 3.0L omega engine, or would I have to replace the hoses piece by piece?

Good morning, noon and night to all omega's!  I have a vacuum problem, I know this because the car is missing a hose or two.  Plus it idles rough, to the point it want's to shut off!  I know there is a diagram on here but when I pop the top it isn't wired in any way as the diagram specifies.  

Any clarity would be appreciated, I'm burnin' up the gas hardcore and my code reader is telling me I have a 'mass or volume air flow problem' (P0100).

I've replenished the reservoir 3 times now in the past couple days, and I mix it 50/50 like they ask-yet there is still some magical force exporting my goods to an unknown region of my engine.

I used to have a coolant leak but it somehow fixed itself one day.  Right after that miracle I developed a small oil leak (looking like doctor claw rollin' down the street), so I replaced the rocker gaskets (big up to the "Administrator" for that knowledge) and no more oil leak!  I then changed the upper and lower plenum seals and the timing belt.  After all this TLC my car still wont cut me a break; the coolant light comes on even when I put coolant.  When I check the resevour there isn't any coolant left.  It isn't leaking out anywhere that I can notice, so where is all the coolant going?

Hello newbies and legends alike!  I've had my 98 catera for a few months now and gone through a few battles already; but came out with the "W"!  My purpose for joining this forum is to find out as much as possible about my car, while providing as much info. as I can myself.
