hello folks, wasn't the snow loverly(i am being sarcastic).ill start with a puncture on Sunday,so out comes the spare tyre.

then loads of snow on Monday and pissed at not being able to take me bike to work,so had to use the car after i dug it out, then on the way home hit a central curbstone and put a nice looking hole in the tyre and a dent in the rim(remember no spare now).

So Tuesday morning put the wheel in a wheel burrow and took it on a 2 mile round trip to get a new tyre fitted(i looked stupid and the wheel burrow squeaks).

Anyways the rest of the week has been shite, then today on the way home the omega starts misfiring, now has anyone got a clue where i start looking,or should i just start with  the plugs and see wot happens ????   :'(

Omega General Help / alternator/aircon belt change!help needed!

hello people,it all went a bit pete tong yesterday in the car,i have had this squeaking noise coming from the engine bay(but didnt try to find it,cos its too damn cold lol).

Anyways happily driving along at 60 when the battery light come on,then noticed the steering had gone too,i got to the side of the road ok,but when i looked into the engine bay, found bits of belt everywhere.

To cut the story short,im not sure of this part, but its a bearing and i have seen a picture of a plastic outercasing which the belt runs on(the bearing seized and has destroyed the plastic outer casing).

But what i am looking for is a pic of both the belts(alternator and aircon)in place so i can work out where they go,normaly i just take a belt off and can see where it goes, but as they where both destroyed,i can seem to figure it out.

Can anyone help me plz

ps before i forget it a v6 3.0

« on: 02 August 2008, 12:56:42 »
hello everyone an di hope someone can help me.
i done a search and couldn't find anything so i thought id make a post.

The problem is the power steering has got heavy on my mv6,i have checked the fluid level and it is fine,so i presume there is no leaks, tyres and pressure's are ok and the pump seems to be working ok,well i can hear the pump on full lock.
so has anyone any ideas on this, before i chuck it into the garage and bankrupt myself  ;D
i had decided to blame the wife for keep adjusting the steering, but i couldnt see anything that would make the steering so heavy  :o
cheers in advance
