Don't know if it helps but TIS said the 9 pins X30 connector is in the fuse box, next the ECU.Well it sort of makes sense but doesn't help really!
QuoteWell I was considering fitting the Bose system in my facelift Omega but I'm in a quandry now. I keep finding myself erring towards aftermarket subs to stick in the shelf instead with a decent amp. :-/
Sounds like a good plan - Stop thinking about it and do it![]()
Andy,QuoteAny way of grafting your spare Monza lights to the front of your Omega?
Yeah, I wishThe other thing about the Monza lights was, when you went onto main beam you had four bulbs on as there was a combined dipped/main lamp and a long range lamp and they were both adjustable individually as well. Ah, those were the days!
I'll try the stanley knife approach and see how I get on. That'll keep me going maybe until I can get some HID's as I think that's the way to go.
Humpy
Quotewhy dont you just take take the bulb out the back of the TID...the one that illuminates the Autobox failuer? ? ? ? ?Not specific bulbs for those 2 computer lines...
Possible to turn off this message by reprogramming MID via Tech2 (in effect, it ignores the gearbox then).
Similar possible via wiring - I think you ground a wire, but can't remember which/how.
I've got some black electricians tape that you could use to block out the MID/TID
Some thoughts!
Did any Carlton ever run that combination of engine and transmission?
What protocol does the engine management and gearbox use to communicate?
Are you flashing out codes via the ALDL or does it work through the standard Diag socket under the dash?
Yep, hear what you're saying, but at the moment I don't have the choice. The advantage of the glove box is you don't have to stop the car to grab something out of it.Quotewas it very useful anyway? small, and uninsulated so could only cool on a trip...anything left in soon warmed up :-/
Indeed Jimbob, that is what I found to be the case on my first 1996 Elite, and so it was fairly useless to me.![]()
was it very useful anyway? small, and uninsulated so could only cool on a trip...anything left in soon warmed up :-/Well I have some long trips coming up in June, days out to the seaside etc so would be useful to keep drinks in on the way.
Hmm doubtful then.Quote....
Ah, so would that glove box fit a full face lift model? After working for so long to get the A/C going I want to make full use of it.
err? Pass. :-/ Even the glove boxes between the prefacelift & minifacelift are slightly different ie earlier cars have 4 fixings & minifacelift have 5.
I'd have thought the cold air feed would the the thing to sort first, the glove box just requires a hole in the back & a slide fitting.Fair point. When I figure out how to get the glove box out I'll have a look see. Thanks...
