I believe the Omega 4.1 1998 model is what we would call in the UK a Carlton (ie, Omega-A).

The official diags kit for that would be a Tech1/Tech1A.  It won't be OBDII or EOBD compliant, so low cost generic tools won't work.  The cheapo OP COM might work, but would need the ODBII plug adapted to fit an ALDL.

One of the ABS members might pop along and be able to confirm what is best on the Omega-A

Hola, buenos dias a todos... Quisiera usar una interfase scanner para ver los datos del motor en una pc o tablet y no sabria cual me podria servir... Mi motor es Omega 4.1 mpfi año 1998 con ECU Bosch Motronic 2.8.1 con conector ALDL de 12 pines...Alguien sabría orientarme? Muchas Muchas gracias
