Apart from this Alpine   unit  what others are easy to put in?  Anyone put in a double dinn dvd player type or is it waste of time?

Has the sound quality dramaticly improved?

Thanks

Hi

Can anyone give a definite answers as to what I can replace my CCr 2006 radio with in terms of better quality and it being a straight forward change?

I'm looking for a better sound (maybe louder too) but it would seem that I'm really limited as to what can be done.

I don't want to pay more than £250

Thanks very much.

Also can you replace with an aftermarket double dinn dvd player type unit and if so does it screw up the current information display?

Omega General Help / Re: Good car or not?
« on: 04 September 2008, 21:03:06 »
Hi there

Well  I was the same way,  just bought a 2.6 cdx estate.  My opinion after two weeks is that ( I had a v70 T reg before) is that is not actually as well built as the volvo and the interior leather not as good qaulity and the brakes are as sharp but that could just be  that my pads are worn, don't know  Volvo brakes very good perhaps.

Anyway, on the + side the omega handles better slighty quicker and has slighty more room on the cargo area  and you get lots of toys of the cdx model.

I think they are value for money these days and as long as you chnaged the cambelt  the engines are supposed to be very reliable.

Unless you have some bad luck  you should be able to deal with any repairs at a realistic cost.

good luck,  can I ask what you paid for it?

Omega General Help / Re: Brake discs  where to buy?

Hey that sounds good but what is an ABS card and where do I go to get one?

Actually I've just used my Nogan and figured it out.
The only thing it says on discount parts from VX dealers is "participating dealers"  is this most of them?

Thanks

Hello   thinking of buying a 2003 Omega cdx Estate  2.6  car seems fine but annoying squeak from rear , can hear from outside too. Cambelt needs doing but body looks fine.

Got service history, manual,  are these fairly "bullet proof" or what?

Thanks people.
