Depends on what car it came from and if it has been correctly delivered paired.

Unless you're fitting the NCDR1100 with it although if it's not from an Omega, it probably won't work.

ok, thank you for the reply's, i'll stick with the MID.  :D

No. You need double DIN head unit paired with that color screen+ wiring harness. Color screen is controlled via head unit, not through wiper stalk. Other option is to find HU from Astra/Vectra with color screen but there's still mater of wiring..
Speedo cluster is separate part and I believe they are interchangeable as long as transmission is the same, but I'm not sure. M57 ( DTI ) has ''drive by wire'' instead of cable, so there might bee differences.

ahh ok. the transmission is the same(manual) mine is drive by wire also, no cables. guess i'll stick with the MID display.  ;D

the ''holes'' for the cylinders are bigger on the 3.0(83mm for the 2.5 and 87,5 for the 3.0), i'm not sure if it has more differences.

Not sure how beyond trying a different stalk, and perhaps dismantling it and checking for obvious wear/damage.

But your first point of checking is the fuse ;)

Closely followed by the clutch and brake switches...

still haven't got time to check all of those, work has been chaotic, i have checked the fuse( fuse 15 i believe) and itīs good, started to remove the plastic cover in the pedals, but have not yet checked the switches.  maybe today I'll have the time to do it.
also I've started to look for a "new" stalk, they are not easy to find here in Portugal. but i managed to find one with 2 wires( there's a lot of the 4 wire ones), if everything points to the stalk i will buy it. could not find brand new ones with only 2 wires...

Today i will test the switches, brake, clutch. and i want to test the stalk. far from i saw the TD stalk has a series of(i think) resistors, is any way i can test it?

If the airbag wiring is unplugged without disconnecting the battery it can put the light on. Needs the fault code clearing and as long as the wiring is ok then should be sorted :y

As you have Haynes, the.diagrams will guide you to the wires to test for the clutch and brake switches. But don't forget to check the fuse as well and also the plug to the cruise control module (under the bonnet, and connected to the throttle cable mechanism) if your car has a cable throttle.

my car as electronic throttle. where's the CC module?

good morning to all, and thank you for the reply's.
so new update, courtesy lights are on(still need to go get a new central locking module), but have no timer. I've managed to find the haynes manual with the electrical diagrams. so managed to find the wires that i needed to jump.
about the cruise control, the stalk i have is with 2 wires plug. and i checked and i have the clutch switch, but didn't have the time to test it.
another thing i forgot to ask is, the airbag light is on, and i found the passenger pretensioner yellow tag to be a little out. not even half of it. could that be the reason for the air bag light? i did not yet connected to the car, my laptop has gone kaput.   :o
I've checked all the plugs under the seat, for the airbags and everything seems to be ok. the car has not been in an accident, but the previous owner told me that about a month and half ago they removed the passenger seat to repair the motor for the seat rise, and after that the light stayed on.

so, I'm talking to a friend of mine that as an omega V6 caravan, even if i can get the central locking module and remote from im, I'm still fuc... because of the immobilizer. right?
No, they should work as long as the car are the same age, ie both '98.

You simply swap the remote fobs. Just make sure that the transponder chip remains in your key... This chip is the immobiliser part ;)

Ok. Thank you.
Friday  I will go se if the car is from the same year. I think it is.
I'm really sorry for all these questions, but I've allways loved this cars. And this one was cheap(at least in here) around 1000€(around 830Ģ). It is in running orde. So I'm really forward to put it basically in factory setting. Apart from the exterior(it has a body kit, I think is a steinmetz replica, it's just a front and rear bumper lips and side skirts) and probably an 16" wheels( it as 15").

Actually it might...

Normally, when you unlock the car, it turns the interior lights on for a fixed time or until a door is opened and the door switch over rides the locking ECU.

The flash of light on the key only tells you that the key is trying to do something.

It should be possible using Tech 2 to reconnect the keys to the module.

You might also find O P C O M will work, but you run the very real risk of turning the car into a paperweight.

I have the "My Naff Code Reader". But only use it to see and erase error codes. I don't have the know how to do that. And I don't know anyone here with the tech 2.
What if I buy another module? Will it be plug and play?
The module I have from the astra has the letters CL. And I saw somewhere that the omega is MU letters.
