Hi albitz. Yes i followed the instructions and routed the sensor wire towards the inner wing and away from the exhaust manifold. I had been under the car thinking that I would have had to reinstall as per factory which would have taken hours!

Hi all. Just joined a couple of hours ago and you have just saved me a lot of time and effort with my crank sensor change. I was about to remove the oil cooler pipes and exhaust down pipe to fit a new sensor. The tech section is fantastic. Job competed in 30min after reading tech help.

I have had my  Y reg 2.5CD estate(very last of the 2.5's) for 4 years. It only had 29k on it when I bought it and now has 70k. Had lots of problems. I do most of the work myself. Cam belt was a bit of a hold your breath moment when i first turned the key on a 40k engine. I had a burnt out clutch (my own fault) VX dealer advised new flywheel also reqired for a cool £900!!!! £25 scrap yard flywheel did the job. Despite the problems love the car. It carries 8x4 sheets of plasterboard when required and can  head to France each year with 3 kids and all the lugage and i can still see out the back.

Look forward to chating to other members.
all the best Chris
