well was driving the car and the light came on for the gear box.
so has to shift manualy.
and all the light next to the selector ie p r d 3 2 1 all lit up .
any thoughts ?
the garage i think pulgged it into the computer and thats the fault it came up with ...

i think it is red and its been coming up on the dash saying auto box check. took it to the garage and they said it the selector switch so had that changed and its still doing the same thing.

got under the car today to look at the selector switch and there was a big pubble of oil on the ground from the gear box. Dont know what to do now i really dont.

they told me that the selector switch had gone so i got a used one off ebay gave it to them and they fitted it. £100 just to tell me what wrong and fot a new one

collected the car from the garage and its doing to same thing  
every thing is lighting up like a christmas tree the light P R N D 3 2 1 al light up at the same time. and then the light comes on. any thoughts

cool thanks its just the auto gearbox thing came on and all the light on the shifter lit up like a christmas tree took it to the garage and that what they said it was. fingers crossed

got it back today driving it back home and it really did not feel right.
spent 4 hours cleaning it just drovw to the boyfriends and the same thing started happening again . dont know what to do i need the car in running condition as i have to go to my grandads frunal in essex. can any one help

drove to the garage at 8:30am got a call at 10 it the selector switch vauxhall wanted £300 for a new one got one off ebay for £80 and should be hear tomorrow so should get the car back tomorrow fingers crossed

thanks for all your help hopefully they will be able to do it at a good price. i just hope that is what is causing the problem.
