To fit aftermarket, you need to remove bose amp, replace a length of loom down the right side of car, and replace all the door speakers.

Thanks :)

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Radio
« on: 01 February 2009, 15:20:20 »
I am wanting to fit an aftermarket cd player in the car but came across a problem. When I plug the new radio into the cars plug everything works but no sound comes out of the speakers. It is a bose sound system if that helps and also the plug that belongs th the car has 3 hole which you plug into i assume it is power/speakers/dash display but the new radio plug has only got speakers and power.

I had this problem when I first got the car and it turned out that the fuse had blown in the amp.

Can anyone help please

Many thanks :)

Hi everyone.

I have just brought a 2.5 cdx on a R plate which has a couple of small probs which I need some help with if poss.

1. No sound coming from the speakers, I have fiddled with the buttons and still no difference and even tried another head unit to no avail.
Is there anywhere I should start looking as there are no obvious faults to my eye.

2. The dials for the climate control don't light up only the driver's side one lights up. Is there a way of fixing them or is a case of get some new ones.

Any help is much appreciated Thanks.

Cheers John

Drop both sumps.
Clean or replace filter thats then exposed.
Worth trying to blow out old oil from cooler pipes.
refit filters and sumps.
Refill via filler hole level.
Start engine, then top back up to filler hole level.
Pop in filler plug, take for spin, recheck level (filler hole level with engine running)
