it really sounds like it is coming from one of the coggs that r on the front of the engine ,not where the cam belt is the one in front of that.

there is a rattle coming from where the fan belt issounds like the coggs that the fan belt goes round if it brakes will it do anything to the cam belt.thanks.

i had a slight bump in mine on the rear /then had the damage fixed but did not realise that the light in the boot was not turning of after about two days the battery would go flat

Hi all i'm dj,i have a problem with my 2.6 v6 which have started to rattle around the fan belt area.Iwill not drive it at the moment as i dont know if it will do some damage to the cam belt can any one help.

IT EVEN PULLS FORWARD ON HILLS WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE(IF I DONT HOLD IT ON THE BRAKE IT IT WILL DRIVE FORWARD) IT WONT STAY STILL UNLESS YOU TAKE IT OUT OFF GEAR.

it idle's at about 750 but is fighting the brake all the time & when you pull off it has a delay off about 1 second before it does anything. :-/

can anyone please tell me why my auto vectra 2.2 wants to pull away all the time when i'm either sat in traffic or on a hill with my foot on the brake as well, my v6 omega never used to do this so why does this one please help it is doing my head in, also am open to offers to do a swap back to a omega around 2002-2003 age ,any offers welcome.

i'v just gone from a mig 2.6 v6 to a vectra 2.2 & it is the worst mistake i have ever made the vectra is horrible compared to the omega keep that.

can anyone help i have a vectra 2.2 auto whitch is runing at 900 rpm in tick over is this normal,plus when you are sat in traffic with your foot on the brake all it wants to do is pull forward fighting the brake all the time, i'v just come from an omega 2.6 v6 witch just sat there with no foot on the brake & waited for you to put your foot on the gas before it did anything does anyone no what the problem could be any help would be appreciated , also when you take your foot of the brake it takes a second to pull away,thanks for any help you can give as i have kids in the car & i dont feel safe.
