Well on checking circuits, fuses and using test lamps, 12v is supplied to the pump whenever the vehicle ignition is on.
But i have no flow of fuel when there is :(
I have 12v to the top of the tank connector, so next job is to remove the pump from the tank (again) and see whats up.
anyone got a spare going for sale?

Hi All
Car still going well but need to know which relay is the Fuel Lift Pump Relay. Can anyone tell me which one it is?
Want to bridge the relay so the lift pump is always on (with engine) and/or a switch on the dash.
Thanks

Omega General Help / 2.5td MAP sensor - required?
« on: 19 April 2012, 19:11:04 »
HI
I think mine maybe faulty - loss of boost - on return to idle, all is then well again.
So:
1) What does it do with regard to ECU and engine control? Other than measure inlet pressure!
2) Is it required? My car was running fine with the MAP sensor unplugged (electrically, air pipe still on) with no loss of boost
thanks
Jon

Omega General Help / 2.5td lift pump - rewire
« on: 19 April 2012, 19:07:02 »
HI
Got a code 34 fault with full throttle hesitation and dieing.
Have already changed fuel filter.
Will check timing sensor on injector 4 next is reading 100ohms.
After this i am going try wiring the lift pump to be on constantly with the ignition.
So:
1) will this kill the pump in quick order?
2) which of the 2 pipes is fuel out and which is fuel back in to the tank?
thanks
Jon

indeed, but all sub 30mph 1.6miles to work for today and tomorrow only.
maybe if weather is ok, i'll get the push bike out even to be on the safe side!!

Nice one Zirk
Just out of interest, as i am awaiting for the corporate snail that is Vauxhal to deliver some parts to finish the repair off, I am currently driving around in my Omega with NO inlet manifold. Its very smooth if a little slow (due to no turbo boost). Amazing what a diesel engine doesn't need to to work!.
Pics later.

hi zirk
i did consider the relay. Is it serviceable?
Any ideas on cost for it?
I have replaced the plugs. Looks like only 2 were working anyway so needed doing.
thanks
Jon

thank you so much for all your help
Jon
