My excess is £200 for a claim, I just assumed it would be the same for the windscreen, oh well I've bought the windscreen now from the breakers for £50.00.

I have just recently bought a new windscreen from the breakers yard for my vauxhall omega how much do you think it will cost to get fitted and will a normal garage be able to do it or do i need to take to a specialist.

I cannot open my car with my key either by pressing the button or inserting the key in the door, when i press the key the red light still comes on, does this mean the electric have gone on the car???

the lights on the dash all come on as normal when I turn the key the engine is turning over but not sparking up, I tried to jump start the car and this did not work either.

yeah it is making a noise but just doesn't spark up if i keep trying the lights go dim and the turning noise goes slower and slower has if it's been drained.

can anyone help my omega elite s reg 2.5 v6 auto car won't turn over to start, the car was running brilliantly no trouble other morning went to turn the engine on and just would not turn over, someone said it could be either the sensors or coil may have gone ,or the key is faulty and that the immobiliser is stopping it from starting up if this is the case are they expensive to have repaired??

now your worrying me what's the scuttle and will this be easy to repair??

The scuttle is the black plastic bit that fits at the bottom of you screen & your wiper spindles poke through it!  
Are you doing the job or asking friend/neighbour/garage to fix it?
Before you condemn the motor you need to have a look to see what's happening when you turn the wiper switch on. As said above, it's not uncommon for a nut to come slack causing the wipers to not wipe. The motor turns but nothing happens. If so it's just a time thing to sort & cost nothing .... if you do it. Even if it is something more, there are plenty of cars being broken here that could supply you with A N Other wiper motor ( and linkage)

now your worrying me what's the scuttle and will this be easy to repair??

yep if you know what you are doing !  

well I definitely don't do you think it will cost me a lot to repair?
