Thanks for that shall hit them with that tommorowQuoteSale of goods act?
Not fit for purpose?
exactly - for a part to fail like that you claim it is not fit for purpose. warranty is irrelevant: sale of good act means that goods must be fit for purpose. VX may claim poor fitting etc but they must prove it
2months ago i bought a nice new egr to exhaust pipe from nidd vale vauxhall -all fitted correctly by me (20 years rtitb/city@guilds motor engineer)and it has broke at the flange at the exhaust end. So i removed it and took it back to see if they would replace it. OH NO they said ,first i would have to reorder the pipe£47+vat, then they would have to fit it (£40 an hour labour now i think!!).So I don't know, say £150 to have it done ,they would then send the broken pipe to vauxhall who would asses if it had not failed due to it been fitted incorrectly!! And then may be refund me my money back. Now is it just me or is this just unresonable! And can I do anything about it. All I want is the pipe replacing that's not too much to ask, is it
