im not to sure i have only had the car a month ,, well what happens is normally at about 70+ mph or hardish acceleration the car starts to missfire and lose power and will continue to missfire till the car is pulled over switched off but when started again it will run fine untill up at speed again or hardish acceleration :S ??

I have a 03 plate 2.6 v6 mig with a brc  lpg onversion and encountered much the same problem as you.  misfired at speed and eventually wouldnt stop misfiring  (fault codes misfiring on 3 and 5). turned engine off and removed key before changing over to petrol only.  car ran perfectly with no misfires and concluded that it was an lpg injector problem, got a couple of new brc injectors £55 each (after eventually finding a brc fitter) and car worked as it should on gas and petrol alike for about 6 months and it started misfiring again on both lpg and petrol this time(same error codes) and had to keep pumping accelerator before the car would start.  went to a garage i know and had the 2 coil packs replaced.  old ones were corroded and cracked with oil from the rockers and rain water sitting in the wells.  fingers crossed the car drives like a dream now. well i have one slight problem and that it still has difficulty in starting when on gas but start using petrol and change over manually when car has started.  but that is nothing compared to loss of power and misfiring. hope you get yours sorted soon.

They have the correct markings and approvals etc so quite legal....its the higher wattage ones that have a question mark.

so its the 100 watt bulbs which are questionable with regard to legality.
55w h1 osram nightbreakers are the way to go.  you cant beat experience when it comes to advice.  thanks again

Omega General Help / which bulbs
« on: 03 February 2009, 13:56:48 »
Hi all, recently bought an omega 2.6 v6 cd (2003).

I love the car and only have 2 slight problems with it.

Could anyone inform me as to which headlight bulbs I could use to improve my visibility at night, current lights are very very poor.  I have read lots on the forum with regard hids/facelifts versions etc, totally baffled by it all to be honest.  any help would be appreciated.

oh yes 2nd thing was what does the snowflake next to the auto gearbox supposed to represent / do.  I didnt get s manual with the car.

thanks
