all sorted , in the village that I now live in there is 3 repair shops , 2 doing mot,s . each spot did diagnostic tests & each suggested taking it to a Citroen dealer  my nieghbour suggested taking it to a spot 7 mile away & that spot within ten minutes the adblue was reset  Alls good now  :y

you are correct tank holds 17litres so when I topped up to my reckoning I will not be too low . So my theory is as I thought driving through rain water has knackered the nox sensor .Its not a job I would attempt unless I had it up on a ramp as the force the job requires would be hazardous on axle stands

i have a Citroen C4 cactus 1.5 Spacesaver flair . whenever I try to order anything from a motor factors and I type in the Reg number all product such as oil air filters etc come back as  no information ,. Im guessing Citroen from 2018 have made it difficult to obtain info in order to try Citroen owners to  use their workshop. At the moment I am driving around with a big orange warning telling me there is an emission issue & i have a limited mileage before the engine will not start . my diagnostic which is an Tomdom Artiliink 600 & even that will not give me any info.
I live in a village near Thirsk & whenever we get a prolonged bout of rain no matter which way out I drive I have to drive through about 9inch depth of rainwater .  i am wondering if water ingress has damaged the nox sensor.

When mine got damaged on the Big Black Pussy, 2nd hand were £800 and new were around £2k :o

So repaired with Chinky Takeaway containers and Sikaflex until I can acquire one at a sensible price....    ....and that was 3 or 4 years ago, and still unable to obtain one for a sensible price!
Been quoted almost from dealers almost £450. they changed them from 2018 . I can find lots of pre 19,s .

Our shows up fault codes every time the temperature dips below zero. Luckily, so far, the temperature has risen, and cleared the code, before the countdown mileage gets anywhere near zero.
Stick a 10 litre bottle in there, Ray, that should do you for around 10,000 miles.
I had about 6ltrs so that sorted it  :y

General Car Chat / Adblu top up
« on: 14 February 2024, 23:01:30 »
I have just started to get the warning that my adblu is low & I only have about 1500 kilometers before the engine wont start , on this car ( 2019 citroen c4 cactus 1.5 dti ,spacetourer ) the filling is situated next to the diesel . Nowhere in the user manual does it tell me how much of the ad blu that I need to put in . do i just fill until it takes no more?

General Discussion Area / INSURANCE CLAIMS
« on: 11 October 2023, 13:03:34 »
Back in mid June i was involved in an accident. how it happenedon on a large roundabout that has 3 entries & as many exits  i had just gone through a green light but after about 20mtrs i had to stop because of a big horsebox that i presume was heading for york races. the horsebox  was trying to switch lanes . a car coming up a southbound ramp managed to get thruogh the gap between my car & the horsbox but a van that followed caught my frontend & totalled my car.  i was deemed to be in fault simply because the position  i was in & he had a green light. also because of the positionn of both vehicles the police had to arrange removal. on his report he recommended no further action to be taken. good news I was paid out within a week.
however last saturday i got papers from the other party,s solicitor wanting £,8500 . naturally i phoned them & was told its because Aviva had not settled the claim from the other party.  it took me over 5 hours to speaak to the right department at Aviva ( claim fulfillment team ). aviva have asked me to send them the court papers so they can deal with it ,

a mokka on a 16plate is telling me a tyre needs air, but it doesn,t . is there a sensor on the wheel that may be faulty, the tyres are recent all round
& in good nick.

is it telling you that a specific tyre is 'flat'? Or is it telling you that you that one of your tyres is 'flat'?
the same corner needs air, tho as I said it doesnt , anyway its a job that requires the bead popping so its booked in to a tyre shop

I assume that you’ve done the reset procedure.

…………
the tyres are recent all round
……

If you’ve carried out the reset procedure, maybe one of the TPMS sensors got damaged during the tyre change. Is it always the same wheel that shows under inflation.  :-\.
same tyre. reset procedure carried out does a new sensor need programming in once fitted ?
