Just fitted Boge springs to mine... £100 the pair but worth it as I know they're a good make :y :y :y

If you drop the diff a little you won't even need compressors for the springs but I must confess I cheated ::) :-[ :-[ Not saying how on open forum though as not an advised method for fitting ::) ::) ::)

Where did you get them, I've done the normal ggogle search etc, but they all seemed to be for pre-facelift models.

I have a 2003 saloon and want to firm it up a bit, maybe even lower it slightly, what's the best route to go for suppliers?

235/45/17 is the right size, same as mine  :y

Perfect, then a set of Eagle F1s for £250 it is then. Many thanks for your help. Nigel

Good that you managed to track down the F1's and at £250, if brand new, thats a good price....   ;)

Brand new and fitted! Normally costs that for one tyre so I mustn't complain.

F1's are now, as I understand it, discontinued by Goodyear and have been for some time.  Once you make sure they have been properly stored and good for use, you could make a few quid if you could purchase a job lot and sell them on...  ;)
I'm getting them tomorrow, I'll see if he has anymore and stick a post up if he has!

Great price, was looking @ F1's myself as replacement rears but couldn't source cheaply enough....ended up with Falken FK452's and am very pleased :y
Was offered those at £46 each, but wasn't sure about wear rate on them.

Omega General Help / Elite 17'' tyre size
« on: 13 February 2009, 18:08:52 »
Hi Guys, newbie here. Have just got myself an ex-police 3.2 Omega and I need some new tyres. It has 17'' Elite alloys on it with 235/45/17 tyres, but they look a bit small. What is the correct size that I should be looking at? TIA, Nigel

Hi Guys, just registered as I have got myself an ex police 3.2 Omega. 2003 with 79000 miles, normal police wear and tear with holes in the roof etc, but as a smoker its pretty good, and can be fun sitting at 69mph in lane 1 of the M3...
Already I have got myself a complete set of Elite seats (Fleabay £21 special!!) and 17'' alloys.
Hopefully I'll spend a bit of time in here, am normally to be found loitering on PH though!!
Nigel
