Hi Guys, Just solved the problem, M y Friend took the starter motor off again and gave it another run on the bench but this time it started with the loud  whine and then screeching when he opened the casing the insides had started to disintegrate SO put on new starter motor all 100% OK.  Thanks for looking anyway. Hi, I have a Omega 2.5 TD 1999. I had a new starter motor put on it 2 yrs ago. but yesterday when I went to start it I only got a loud whinnying noise and it wouldn't start the engine, so I had to get a push of to get home. A Friend suspected the starter motor but when he removed it , and bench tested all worked OK. so he replaced it and the whining was still there but no turning of the engine, As we have no wiring diagrams for this model, any suggestions will be gratefully received Thanks

Hi, Has anyone got an electrical drawing for the Central locking system for my Omega 2.5 TD 1999 preface model. As it was locked and dead locked.  But on trying to open it nothing happened, only indicator warning lights flash. So i opened the drivers door by the Emergency method with the key as per manual. but then the hand book manual says that I should be able to lift any door latch and they Will open but isn't happening so I can only get in the drivers door using key manually. Battery fully charged, all other functions working , Fuse OK, changed Driver door locking motor still wont release other doors   Help needed please.

Thanks emo Ive read your problem smilier to mine but I tried taking the door card of and renewing the driver door solenoid but still got the same problem if I sort mine out I will let you know also i will post it hear fore the rest of the forum members.

Omega General Help / All passenger doors deadlocked

I have put this in the elec section, but I think I may get a better coverage hear, I realy need help. I have tried renewing driver side solenoid, Key fob Battery, Synchronising Key To car. check fuses But I still cant release them.

Omega General Help / Boot Lock / Locked out

 :-/   Hi Guys,  I have a V reg Omega 2.5 TD. The one with the BMW engine. when I bought it there was only one key. and it opened all locks including the boot from the fob .But but if I wanted to use it mechanically by hand it would only open and lock the passenger doors. not the boot. if   I    put the key in the boot it would not turn at all.
NOW my problem is the boot has fail to open with the fob but all door are OK.  So could someone please tell me if their is a way to get it open without damaging it. I have read on the forum hear that somebody with a similar prob used a mini facelift key but I don't know what those are. also someone said that their car had an emergency release cable behind the seat but they didn't mention the model and I cant see anything obvious on mine. So I would be very grateful for any suggestions Thanks from Densum.

Omega General Help / Fan Belt rought over the Pulleys.

   Hi I have a Vauxhall Omega TD 1999 with a 2.5 V6 BMW engin, and my Fan belt snapped, fortunatley it was on my drive, so I bought another but I dont know the rought it goes on the pulleys and for this modle they havent written a manual, SO PLEASE has anybody got a drawing they could send me, THANKS in advance, from DENSUM.

    Hi, Guys,  Just thought I would say Hi to you all as it has been a while since I was hear. I am still running the same Omega 2.5 TD V reg Thanks to some help I got from you guys with the fan belt rotation.  I have another slight problem which I will post in the relevant section, and hopefully some body may come to my rescue once again, and I Thank you all on this forum for your help in the past and hopefully the future THANKS from Densum.

 ::)Hi everybody and a Merry Xmas to you all , from this NEWBI, I hope from all the knowleg out there I will learn something about my Omega, I have the old type Saloon 2.5 TD V Reg with the V6 BMW engin. So thanks for listening, I will look around the site to see where I can post my Quearies thanks Regards Densum.
