I have just had the MOT done and was told to have 2 parts of the exhaust replaced, due to blowing. 
But its noiser that it was prior to this being done. I have been told it takes 2/3 weeks for the noise levels to reduce, but i feel that when you have something replaced it should automatically get better. :-? It has a 2 year guarantee and the manufacture will replace 1 part under the guarantee. The garage stated that even if this is done it may not stop the problem (trial and error).
Also had the rear brake pads replaced, but when slowing down say from 30mph to 10 mph, then stopping, the steering wheel shakes slightly and the brakes judder. It feels like the brakes are sticking. I was told that due to slight corrosion on the rear discs and new pads, that this is the problem. If I have the discs skimmed (£55 to do) this should ease off and wont be a problem. :-/
