I mite be stating the obvious but have you tried a dvd/cd cleaning disc :-/

the other thing to try would be take the cover off and clean the lazer with some alcohol on a cotton bud :-/

hope this helps :)

NO !  Never use chemicals if cleaning a laser with a cotton bud

It will damage the surface coating

 >:(

Sorry :-[ something i was told to do :-/

Will remember not to do this in future

Omega General Help / Re: Valve seal removal
« on: 22 April 2009, 20:27:04 »
do you mean valve stem seals?

if so last time i did a set of these i used a small screw driver to split the outer metal ring and then pulled the seal off with a pair of long nose pliers :)

tap the screw driver gently with a pin hammer to split the metal ring ;)

to fit the new ones i found a socket the same size as the metal outer ring and gently taped the new ones on :)

hope this helps :)

Correct me if im wronge but your vectra is front wheel drive?

the omega is rear wheel drive!

if you give this some thought your gear box is on the right hand side of
your engine, the omega gear box is on the back of the engine! :-/

i guess you could convert your vectra to rear wheel drive ;)

I always use baby wipes on the plastic trims! works a treat and there not expensive! :)

on the seats i always take them out of the car clean them with washing powder in warm water with a nail brush! then leave them in the sun to dry :)

Alot of work but the results are fantastic and again not expensive :)

Hope this helps :-?

On the panel with the switch you use to close the roof there is a U shaped plastic cover! remove this by sliding it!

you will find the manual winding mech in there! use a large flat screwdriver to turn it and the roof will close ;)

Hope this helps :)
