You all have discribed what happened to mine, the cure is stick the new garmin in front of the CID,  use the petrol gauge, look at your watch and listen to radio 2 all the time.  How much are new CID's now ? 8-) 8-)

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Info display

The colour info display in my Yreg 3.2 went all fuzzy
twice today, like a telly with the ariel out. It came back
after a few minutes and a couple of thumps on the
dashboard. Am I looking at a new display soon?
If so how much and how hard ?
Thanks.. :(

The snow/ice button is on the left hand side of the
gear lever. With it on the car will start off in third.

Try looking at the drop links to the front antiroll bar.

I'm having a fixed towbar fitted to my 2001 3.2 will it
set off the reversing sensors ?
I did a little experiment by putting a plastic box where
the towbar would be and nothing happened.
Does anybody have any experience with this.
Or should I get a detachable, but they are twice the
price.. :-/

Omega General Help / Re: Is it the wheels ?
« on: 07 November 2009, 12:53:28 »
Thanks for everybodies ideas, off to check the
steering idler, what does it do and where would I find
it.  The Old MV6 (ex plod) had 205/60/15 Dunlops on
the Elite has 235/45/17 Michelins on with some
mileage left on them,  can anybody recommend a
good tyre to replace them with when the time comes.
 :)

Omega General Help / Is it the wheels ?
« on: 05 November 2009, 05:29:44 »
Hi,  I've recently changed my 1997 3ltr MV6 for a
2001 3.2 Elite and it seems a lot more sensative to
lumps and bumps in the road, causing it to wander
off line more than the MV6 did.  I've changed the
front wishbones and drop links and checked
everything else and all seems ok.  Its also just had a recent MOT.  So is it the wheels ?
The MV6 had 15" steel rims which were thinner than
the 17" on the elite or could it be the elite has softer
spring rates.  Has anybody else noticed found this a
problem.   :-/
