Cheers - I cant post in the parts wanted section so if someone had a breather jet with washers ideally, I would be happy to take them.

Thanks Grumpy  :y
I suspect I am the culprit for over squeezing it in the first place from a previous visit - so karma has well and truly struck. Its a tight enough spot so I hope I can get an extractor in as you say. There is a scrapped diesel miggy in a yard up the road from me, simpleton question - but does the diesel have a breather jet also?

Omega General Help / Tyres suitability?
« on: 20 March 2010, 13:53:24 »
Hi, my 2.0l saloon has its test next week and am strapped for cash at the moment. The tyres need changing but I have a good set lying around from a 2002 nissan primera. Whats on the miggy is 215/55z R16's and the primera's are 205/60 R16's. Would they work on it?

I would be interested in the result of the test also, I have been battling with my miggy's issue over the last few weeks - this being one as well. Im over in Ireland, have no idea where I might get access to a code reader.

« on: 18 March 2010, 14:10:59 »
hey all - thought it was all over for the 2.0l auto miggy today, smoke from engine, desperate smell etc. Found a burst hose leading from this (see pic) down into the depths of the engine block. Whilst im not the most knowledgable on engines, this filter maybe? is fairly covered in crusty oil gunk, as is the pipe leading from it. I can replace the hose, any advice on replacing, cleaning this.
Thanks

Omega General Help / Autobox Issue
« on: 01 March 2010, 11:54:32 »
Having problem with 2.0l autobox. Along with some other issues there has been an oil leak which I have been trying to source, which I now suspect may the the autobox. Autotransmission fault came up on the display along with all the lights on the autobox coming on together - switch off the ignition and restart and it goes away. Theres no fault code relating to it coming up ( there is one relating to the MAF filter but thats a seperate issue.
Also when driving down an incline the EML light comes on occasionally, is all this pointing to low level oil in the box? and how hard is it to check/change.
