I have a 2.5v6 omega (facelift model) and my center console buttons including radio have stopped working. All that works is my hazard lights switch and traction control everything else is dead. There is no blown fuses and weather is getting too cold not too have any heat. When I press any of the buttons for the heat to come on nothing happens same with the heated mirrors and no radio. If anyone has had similar problem or can suggest something to check i would be grateful for your feedback.

Regards,

Michael

Hi everyone,

I have a similar problem with my car although i am getting hot air in to bak of car just not the front. Anyone know what i should check or do?

Found out  that it is a genuine vx sensor so will try the paper clip test when I get my ecu back and give an update.

I went to the garage yesterday and asked him if the new sensor was def working and he told yes as he had put his scope on it and it got a good reading, is this right? The ecu people are checking the immobiliser further today apparently. Will let you know how i get on

5
Meant to say the car worked on the test drive only after the sensor was fitted i never got the chance to drive it again. Would a 3rd party sensor last that least amount of time?

6
I am not sure the garage got it and fitted it for me i will ask them though, he has sent my ecu away to be tested. I think he is stuck himself

Hi Everyone,

Last week I left to go visit my brother in Skye, got 9 miles from my house and car started going weird. Lost power for a few seconds no throttle and then would come back. Thought nothing of it kept going done it again so I turned round and about 10 mins later it dies on me completely after coughing and splutering. Got it to start and made to my local gargage. He phones me to say it showing up as crankshaft sensor , it gets replaced next day, i get phone call go to pick it up and well car still there. It now refuses to start, there is no fuel getting through to engine, so no spark, everything seems to check out ok and there is no fault codes of any description showing up either. Anyone had similar problems or know what I could check etc??

Thanks for your time

Michael
