Today's topic of contention is my rradiator seems to be using a lot of water and is steaming a little. Temp gauge is hovering between 95 and 100 for the most part. have checked pipes for leaks but nothing, no obvious leaks from rad, but manily at standstill after a few seconds rad steams.
Have put a lot of water in in last 2 days, only noticed it on Monday morning.
Only noticed int he last day or so but the exhaust is pretty smoky on pulling away from standstill. Once it's above 25 miles an hour it becomes fine, but it's a bit of a worry.
I have a 99 T-Reg, that has just been put through it's MOT. It faile don emissions because the engine is running too rich and is giving emisions of around 4.2% instead of 0.3%. Anyone have any ideas how to sort it without it costing a bomb?
My garage are scratching around with sensors to see if anything can be done with it.
Thanks for your help mate, but I'll still look out for a twin pipe as I do like the look of them. I don't think the ones from a2.5 or 3.0 will fit at all because of the double pipe.
I'm going to refrain from spending any money until I find out for sure, but thanks for your help. I did a bit of checking and the actual mounting pins fit snugly into a cubby hole. I'm not sure if the backbox I want has pins that are high or wide enough to fit, but the inlet pipe looks like a close match.
I wouldn't want to risk 50 quid on something that I'm not 100% on though.
