before i had an omega i had a vec sri and was looking at them and was about to buy a 2.2 150bhp one but was did a search on the vec owners forum and was adivsed to walk away as they all said at around 70k the crank shafts go on the 2.2 petrol engines so i spoke to a mate of a mate who's into vauxhall  said yeah the 2.2's are in his words shite. I can only go what he said and he told me to walk away as he had a couple with the same problems the cranks and just other bits n bobs but surpose thats the same with any engine but im cursed with cars so doesnt matter what i have always breaks lol

Hello,

I have bought a 2.0 auto gls I have only had it a about 3weeks but am looking to sell it as i wanted a 2.6 v6 but me mates convinced me to get the 2.0 as is cheaper to run and insure etc but i went to blackpool in at and i no its only a 2.0 in a big car but it was really really slow. I love the car like just wondered what is the 2.6 v6 auto like on petrol as dont really want a manual as prefair the auto. I paid £1650 from a dealer not even a month ago it has full service history from vauxhall and ,mot till june next year and tax till dec it silver 4door and is in really good nick.

« on: 08 July 2009, 22:09:03 »
Hello,

I am after a set of wheels for me silver saloon facelift omega. I am looking at a set of vxr snowflakes which one of the fella's on here has got, would they just fit on to mine or would work need to be done. Is there any other wheels that look good on the omega's?????

Hello,

I have just got my first omega and hopefully it will be the first of many. I was after a 2.0 cd or cdx as my insurance was cheapest of the 2.0 and didnt really want to run a v6 at the mo. The best one i could find for a my budget and having to travel to far was the gls i found with  57k which has full vauxhall service history and all old mots to back up the miles up so i jumped on it. I need to do i few things to be happy with it you might not like what ive got in mind but i fink it will luk good and not to boy racer but i am only 22 lol Does anyone know if i can get the 19" vxr snow flakes on it. Has anybody but an exhaust on either side as im looking to to that and lower it around 50mm with the snowflakes if i can and tint the windows with 20's on the back and 30-35's on the front which should be done in next couple of weeks then the wheels 2weeks after dat. any advice on the wheels or anyother wheels people might suggest i would be glad of the advice
