I'm further up in Staffordshire, got a friend that can look at it, as long as we've an idea what we're looking for if you get me.  Sounds like a case of just getting the wheel off and having a good old look around lol

New tyres were put on a fortnight ago and were balanced along with the tracking being done.

I've also been told by OH that when the vibrations start its as if the brakes are on.....does this sound like the brake calliper is sticking once its warmed up?  Would that be an overhaull or replacement?

Hi Guys, hopefully you can point me in the right direction.  We have an Omega 2.2 GLS saloon 2001, recently its started vibrating through the steering, thought it must be the tracking, so had it checked and the track end rods had gone, had these replaced along with four new tyres.
Driving it after the xmas break and its still doing the same.
Symptons are, from cold drives fine, after about 10mile steering starts severely vibrating and it appears that there is far more heat coming from the drivers side wheel than passenger.  Any advice greatyly appreciated, thanks in advance  :y

Omega General Help / GearBox Oil
« on: 30 March 2010, 22:18:09 »
Hi, could anyone advise on what gearbox oil to use on a 2.2GLS yr'00 saloon manual. I've put gearbox oil into search but it didn't come up with anything, so I apologise now if this has been asked and i've not seen it..... and also how much does it hold...only got the little manual book and no figures are in there.  Thanks in advance of your help.  :)

Just been out to check, and yes you can bob it about in any of the gears no problem, without the engine running.

Literally just wouldn't go in, then when it did, if anything it was just stiff, no noise.

Hi, we have a manual 2.2 GLS (facelift)  I have just gone to move the car and it would not go into gear....any of them.... after sitting and trying and accidently pulling the gear knob off!!!!  I eventually got it into gear, once it in as you drive along it seems to get easier..... apparantly this is a problem we've had for a while and OH leaves it in gear to make it easier first thing.... I don't drive this one usually so didn't know about it...... Can anyone point us in the direction as to what the problem is?  Many thanks in advance  :)

Omega General Help / Drivers Seat Electrics???
« on: 12 July 2009, 00:04:06 »
Hi, we've just bought an Omega 2.2gls saloon '01, at the moment the drivers seat doesn't move up or down, when you press the button it just knocks once and thats it.

Also, when we bought it, we've got two key fobs, one works and the other doesnt, is it a case of a new battery or is it more expensive than that? They key fob is the one with 3 buttons, two to open and shut and one for the boot.

Any advice greatly appreciated  :)
