so engine is running with battery light on? I'm no specialist but sounds like voltage controller/regulator went walkie :-/
Please play nicely. No one wants to listen/read a keyboard warriors rants....
Check all the earths too, it's a common fault on V6's
Doest the battery negative lead get hot?
Are you turning it the right way
Is this normal :question
Only noticed the gap between damper rod plates & chassis mounting after new wishbones fitted... Posted a topic about it & got lots of helpful advice about what checks to make.. fully understand the advice given but can't remove the 24mm brass nut above the plate in order to carry out any checks. I've now been to three seperate garage mechanics who are all telling me there SHOULD be a gap between plate and mount :exclamation knowing that mechanics can be liberal with the truth to get a job, I seriously don't know if this is normal or not? Can anyone with a pre-facelift mig tell me if thiers look the same or tight to chassis :question
leads and plugs are not old and garage, not vx, has said they are fine.
I am going to try and blank the egr. i think it might be sticking. since i have the codes it is worse. was fine at idle before. now it is lumpy and vibrates up up the pedals and when going 50ish, vibrates through the seats which makes for an unpleasant ride.
If blanking the egr doesn't do it i will try the dis pack. Have heard they are tricky to change so will not be looking forward to that.
Sounds like the pump is getting tired. Try a few changes of fluid .... Dex II not III
QuoteIs it worth just transplanting the whole lump?
And gearbox, rear axle and propshaft - actually cheaper and easier to buy an MV6![]()
Assuming they are cloth seats then look here
