def plastic lens!! both sides, valeo units, you can push lens in just like new Transits ect! Thought that was the norm!!

hmmm.... my headlight lenses are plastic and flex, don't fancy t-cutting clear plastic! Certainly doesn't polish up!

well, as I have a nasty yellowy n/s headlight, what do I look for?? I have been told I have facelift dah due to the type of display, and I also read it may be facelift because I have 3 solid headrests in the back... but does this apply to the rest of the car???  Cheers in advance!

Newbie Welcome Area / Vauxhall Newbie saying HI!!
« on: 28 July 2009, 14:22:15 »
Hello everyone! Well, decided to change my Vauxhall purchasing chain from Calibra to Astra to Corsa to Calibra and buy an Omega...!
It's only a 2.0, but 89,000 miles, full history on a S plate, manual and very clean for £300 worth!
Going a touch lower, Mercedes rims and a bit of Irmscher dotted about for good measure!

alas, it's going on ebay tonight! Been offered a car I can't refuse... so if anyone wants a tidy Omega, 2.0, lowered, lots of tax and test, with 17's..£450!!

Was it far off?  How did you adjust it, because I know the rear doesn't have eccentric bushings for camber adjustment and mine as it is stock is running around 2° camber and its chewing up the tires like crazy. .

A drop of 1" or more will give something close to 3° which will be even worse.

It's not that far out, and as I have a healthy supply of good 17" used tyres, it doesn't worry me!!

Well, after 3 weeks of ownership, nearly got the 2.0 I bought for £300 to where I want it!
Sorted the engine management light out, door strip that was damaged, some second hand headlights etc etc etc!
So, some 17" wheels, 245/40's on the front, 245/45's on the rear, lowered 40mm, uprated rear shocks, new front std shocks, debadged grill, good clean and some red LED dash illumination!!  Things to do, boot lip spoiler and re-gas the aircon!
