Took mine to WIM, Exellent job. Highly reecommended. Would not take a push bike to Kwik Fit.

I got a new viscous fan hub from German and Swedish for about £30quid. Same as BMW 325 TDS

Fan on intercooler is to to cool compressed air from the turbo. Cooled air is denser than hot air therefore increasing torque and power of the engine.

Hi, I have a 96 2.5 TD GLS with an erratic temp guage, goes off the scale until you give it a knock and then drops back to about 92 - 95. Electric fans dont come on. Also just fitted new temp sender and fan switch. fans work when shorted. This happens either when I thrash it or drive sedately. Any ideas please.

Thanks a lot, I dont think I would of found it in a hurry, I can now replace it along with the rad fan switch
