Thanks guys. It was stiff, but pulling the handle at the same time did the trick. Should have seen my dad's face!!  2 years it's been sat there!!

Hi, can anyone help with a desperate catch 22 situation?
My dad is locked out of his CD 2.6 Auto owing to a flat battery. So the locking system won't allow the doors to open, and we can't get in to release the catch for the bonnet to replace the battery.
The car is stuck on the driveway and all we can think to do is smash the window
There must be a better way. Any ideas greatly appreciated.
