Omega General Help / 2.5 TD Auto Boots down and poor acceleration
« on: 08 February 2011, 21:53:23 »
Hi all.
I have a 2000 Facelift model 2.5 TD X25DT Automatic with 121k. The car runs ok poodling round town but has slow acceleration especially when climbing up hill. The auto box always boots down with a big black puff of smoke when trying to gently accelerate. Does this point to a poss EGR prob or air leak somewhere. MPG is also terrible at 20-25 (or is this just normal for this car !!!). Poor starter when warmed up and I need to allow the glow plug light to go out twice before trying to start when cold. Any help gratefully received. Are there any books/workshop manuals out there for this engine.??
Cheers
Dave
