Omega Electrical and Audio Help / main beam headlights

hi all, i'm hoping someone can give me a clue where to start looking for the cause of my main beam headlamps turning themselves on and only going out when i removed the fuses, the light switch , ignition etc made no difference, car is a 2000 elite, dip beams are xenon and work normally, as do the side lights. >:(

on the subject of LPG conversion, does anybody know, would I be able to use the LPG set up off my old 3.5efi V8 Range Rover on my 2.5 V6 Omega?

jack up & support the front near side & jump across the starter connections, the leads only need to be thin - you're only unlocking the car.

wow! it worked!  :D . thanks again

"Should work. You`ve got to force the key past the resistance"
sorry, i don't think i described the problem too clearly, i neglected to say that the key does turn in the lock, but although it seems to be moving at least part of the mechanism it turns the whole way to the left without unlocking

hi all, my 2000 (x) omega has been parked up for a few weeks, and when i tried to unlock it tonight i got no joy either with the fob or the key itself, surely using the key is a mechanical operation not electronic? anyhow, it's booked in for MOT Saturday so any ideas on how to get into it welcomed (i've already thought of breaking the window ::))

hi all, just to introduce myself, my name is Dee, I'm a tattooist from Manchester,i'm fairly new to Omega ownership being mainly into Land/Range Rovers, but so far am very happy with my 2000 Omega Elite 2.5 V6 estate, I bought the car as a day to day runabout to save on fuel costs after the LPG on my No 1 Range Rover packed up, 22 mpg is frugal compared to the way a 3.9 V8 can drink :) , I am so pleased with the Omega that I will probably keep it as my daily driver even when the other is sorted.
