can anyone help me please, 2000, 26.v6 omega wont start however if i keep turning it over until the battery is run  down to nearly flat it starts,but will only idle. cant afford dealer diagnostics, any help would be really apriceated.thanks

thats the 3rd diagnostic its had . it just wont interact with them. and they all want paying even when they tell me nothing new.

he said  it wont comunicate even with vauxhall tech. and the em light isnt on, but does work and thats how he knows , dont tell me ive been hudwinked again

auto spark has told me the ecu is fried, didnt know the car can still run with a fried ecu,  but he knows more than me i suppose . thanx for the help anyway guys , apreciated, im off to try an find a cheap ecu  :-?.   thanks again, ste

just thought to check fuel pressure and there is none at all , although there is fuel its not jeting like it was when i removed pipe for plug change, what could this mean ?

was day after plug change it started , it ran fine all day after the change though, still ive checked and double checked in case i disturbed something when changing  them, all looks fine,

checked were you said, all pluged in and intact,starting to think maybe i would be better off scraping it as there is a good chance its gonna cost more than its worth to get it fixed,  :'(

the lamp is ok it comes on briefly when car starts (battery flat)

someone suggested crank sensor but cant understand why it would start when battery goes flat, thought it just wouldnt start at all.

yes thats exactly right. dosent even try to fire until its flat and then will happily tick over all day. when i rev it dosent cut out it moves about 100 rpm. engine sounds good when idleing, was starting before and after the alarm buisness although alarm  still goes off if i plug it back in (but still wont start) :(
