first thing i will say is thanks for the input guys/girls

so if i disconect the maf sensor and start the car from cold i take it this will allow the car to start with no problem if it is the sensor

the saga continues

from cold car is hard to start and cuts out then a few more turns its fine, once warm ticks over good. have had eml cleared a few times bank one fuel trim hence o2 sensor

i have changed sprark plugs,fuel filter,lam sensor,engine coolant temp sender.
 i have cleaned the breathers as well.

sorry mate i just cant see it  i have tract the big hose from rad up past the battery up into the right side of the engine(pass side) and cant see any plug mmm

itake it cam shaft sensor and crank sensor are the same thing???
i also had my cam belt done 2 month ago could this cause this problem

iam only getting the eml light on not the spanner ahhhhhhhh >:(

any input would be great

my car struggles to start up and some times just cuts out but once started it is fine.i did get the AA out to check fault codes.This was after i had changed the pre lamba sensor, the codes read. fuel trim bank 1.
lamba sensor 1 no signal.
 any help pls.

on my lcd screen i have got the check light on wich is refering to the coolant level which i have toped up but i still get the same display on the lcd when i start the car. ::)

any ideas.

i understand the manifold will req replacing would this be quite easy for me to do ie undo a couple of nuts and replace the seals,or is tere a lot more involved
