Omega General Help / interior light query
« on: 29 December 2009, 16:57:51 »
Hi guys... sorry to bombard with questions all the time but i figure if i just put all the little niggly queries i have i can get them out of the way as soon as.

when i open the door the interior light next to the rear view mirror comes on (it seems to be split into two lights and they both come on) but when i i press the buttons to switch them on when the doors shut only the drivers side light comes on and the passenger side interior light doesnt respond to the button at all.

i first thought it was the bulb but it cant be otherwise it wouldnt work when the doors are open.

any idea anyone? :)

cheers.

Hi guys,

Thanks very much for the info. I've topped it up to the max and am going to keep my eye on it and take it in if need be.

Do you have any idea on how much coolant/antifreeze should be topped up say in a year as I just assumed at the start it drained it cos it's a big car (sorry if that sounds silly but I just don't know) :)

ps I'm sorry for any offence I may have caused with the subject in capitals and being in the wrong subject area. I can only hope that with me being a new member and Christmas being nearly upon us you can forgive me :)

Omega General Help / Coolant level low shortly after being topped up
« on: 15 December 2009, 17:26:42 »
Hi guys,

I'm a new member and have just bought (August) a silver 2000 2.5 v6 cd and I am so pleased with it. I've had the cam belt and tensioners done and she runs like a dream.

One thing I just wanted to check on before I pay 30 something quid to get it checked at Vauxhall is that I had it serviced in October and they topped up the coolant/antifreeze but just a week ago (start of dec) the warning for coolant level came up and it took a whole bottle of coolant/antifreeze. My friend mentioned something to do with the head gasket. Can someone help??? Thanks in advance. and merry christmas :)

cheers guys, thanks for the comments. i really am in love with it. yeah i picked it up and it was pukka. i got it for £1100, with 69000 on the clock so well low and i thought what a bargain. only thing was it didnt have proof of a cambelt/tensioner change so shelled out £430 for that but even so it's been a dream. :):):):)
