i rang arnold clark in stoke on trent and they want £196 for the power sounder part number GM90508618PJ

power sounder removed along with horn as could not stand the sound any longer.
looks like batteries were dead barely any voltage tried to replace with new nimh but when plugged back in the sounder does not sound when alarm is activated and leaning through window for ultrasonics etc. indicators flash though lol lets hope any car thiefs are deaf any way lol one thing i noticed though was i grabbed the wiring loom that came out from alarm sounder area to the brake fluid sensor and pulled it and the sounder stopped, let go and it started again, this was prior to stripping it out,
guess i broke now lol

merry xmas all,
my P/S is activating on its own and sometimes whilst driving, been going off through the night and just gone off twice in space of an hour, i can only cut it off by inserting the ignition key and turning ingnition lights on and off, never heard it before in last 2 years.
Can anyone tell me how to get to it and what i should be looking at doing at it please, just gone off again as we speak.
My car battery has been getting slower at turning the old girl and just before it was changed last week, it would barely turn during the frosty morns, but as it was trying it would sound the P/S as it turned, the original was a 60amp 620cca (096 type) the new one is 95amp 730cca (017 type) engine turns mega fast now but noticed the P/S is chirping or sounding when i start the car.
can anyone advise please before neighbours start ripping my car apart to shut it up.

ok one of the posts was the one i needed leaving lol,
i have took the drastic measure of buying a fleabay hot fix kit and yipeeeeeeeee it now works, paid £29.99 and came within 2 days, i got the better kit not the relay and resistor,
turns out this problem has been on the car before i brought the car, because upon untaping the ecu wiring loom near the ecu, i find out some nice dude has already chopped the temp sender wire and then put a join in it.
it seems that the relay i was asking about in the previous posts is the cheap hack job via relay and resistor, pulled out the relay i replaced upon instruction from the timer seller on ebay and all works still, even when the car is warmed up i can get glow plugs warming up and starts first crack of the key.
kit really well made and very pleased with it.

looking to dump egr valve, anyone know if there is a workshop on here for doing this please, also where in the "My Naff Code Reader" menus would i find the egr setting to turn it on or off? i'm guessing i have to disable the egr once blanked off.

all sorted got a 2 button m-am megamos from fleabay for under £10 and zip zap with "My Naff Code Reader" and all working hunky dory, no tears this time.
