tried tinting mine and had to take it off try nail polish remover but the one with Acetone in worked a treat cleaned it all off
the very back glass is held in by 6- 8 nuts below the trim pannels

my 98 mini facelift 2.0l bracket with cruse holder but needed pedal switch no need for tech 2
my 96 prefacelift 2.0l was same as i remember

had the same problem myself and it was my fault  . try tapping them round with a center punch and hammer. but the only place i found for the bolts was the stealers and they were expensive.

as far as i can see on mine the bracket comes off the seat and the body so you can replace it. just been out and looked and i have passanger side lap belt and buckle in black you can have for cost of postage.

 read fault codes and its comining up with 00014 pressure regulator solenoid circuit open.
